our food for one week is about $100. *headscratch* I can't believe some people spend upwards of $300 on one week of food!!

That is a really neat illustration. Thanks for sharing. When I spent a month in an Angolan refugee camp in Zambia, it was really sad how little food they were getting----and the U.N started cutting their rations as an incentive to leave the camp (after the conflict ended, but there still wasn't peace and people were afraid to go back).

I still can't believe that U.S family spends so much in one week! Yikes!

Very interesting! Some of that would last us a month until you get to the bottom, it makes me count my Blessings! It always surprises me how much  of the individually wrapped processed food that people buy in this fast pace life people live. I have to watch my spending even on grocery's so most of the pictures looked like a ton of food for one week. But we have much compared to  so many across the world! Take care Kim

I'm not sure where you got this.. but it's very interesting (and sad) to see it all put out like that!!

what i found interesting was that our(USA) food intake looked like it consisted of a LOT less fruits, veggies, and grains.  Im not a health nut -but it just kind of struck me when comparing the different foods......you wonder if the "diet industry" is as successful in other countries as it is here
